Tooltips

Tooltips can make your visualizations even more powerful and full of meaningful data. You can include additional information for your audience without compromising any space in the report.

Tooltips appear when you hover over an item as an extra box that displays more details about a certain element of the visual. This feature helps the end user understand the data in the report better by giving further insights that might be relevant to this particular context.

Tooltips can be dynamically customized with the use of HTML and DAX. You can simply create a <title> tag inside the HTML code together with the measure or text to be displayed. This tag can be assigned to any object of te visual: bar, column, text, image or an entire row so that you can show multiple tooltips within the same visualization.
